The Alexa for Superga images are great... until you get to the shoes. The problem is, I struggle to see Alexa as purely a model - her personal style is so iconic and her celebrity so great that her shoots become more like endorsements, rather than mere modelling assignments. Whether she too sees this project this way I don't know, but the styling just doesn't ring true. I don't believe Alexa would pair any of these outfits whoth those trainers in real life, so the campaign seems like a bit of a sell out.
That said, this particular looks works for me because it reminds me of Dirty Dancing, and sometimes that's all it takes.
I soooo agree with you. Every time I've ever spotted Alexa she's always tottering along in major heels, even at 8am on her way to the studio. My main concern is how her legs don't snap, because they are even more super skinny in real life than photos. She is not a trainer girl.
